Our training philosophy and methodology is to follow the principles and art of classical equitation. In Classical Horsemanship, one trains according to the horse's instinct, that which is of his own accord, progress and speed. We subscribe to gentle handling, and never harsh force, so that he is happy in his work and clear with our intentions. This process also includes working in relaxation, and promotes positive reinforcement rather than setting the stage for future resistance. Each horse progresses at their own pace dictated by their conformation, breed and most of all temperament. The ultimate goal is to bring each horse to their full potential, as willing partners-never by use of physical force. Balance should proceed movement! |
